STEP

STEP stand for Skills · Training · Empowerment · Purpose and is program designed to prepare participants for certification in retail, computers and custodial services for the purpose of obtaining employment.

Urban Youth for Africa

Urban Youth for Africa (UYFA) giving urban youth a change to step out of their circumstances and realize their power to change the world.

KPEP

Kalamazoo Probation Enhancement Program allows participants to fulfill court-ordered community service through KDC.

PATH Program

PATH as a partner KDC is a site for participants to receive practical work experience. PATH is a mandatory program for families receiving cash assistance through the Federal Family Independence Program.

Y.O.U.

Y.O.U. (Youth Opportunity Unlimited) serving at-risk youth in Kalamazoo. One of the first programs designed to assist high school dropouts with reconnection to education and employment training.

Congregational Partnerships

Congregational Partnerships are the base of our support as we serve those in need freely and enable us to expand our existing empowerment programs.

AARP

KDC has been a training site for AARP participants for many years. Senior participants are assigned to KDC for job skills training.

Community Beautification

KDC strives to improve the appearance of our community. In partnership with the Kalamazoo Growers Assn. & Kalamazoo Parks and Recreation Department, KDC plants and maintains flowerbeds in LaCrone Park.
