Studies show the average baby goes through 8 to 10 diapers a day. That amounts to $70 – $100 a month.
A single mom working minimum wage has to work two hours to afford a pack of diapers. That pack of diapers will get her through about two and a half days.
At KDC, we aren’t able to provide packs of diapers, but enough to get someone through a day or so in a crisis.
Mother come in on a regular basis saying: “My last clean diaper is on my baby & I have no money to buy more.”
