What is JET?

Jobs Education and Training (JET) is a program of Michigan WORKS!  JET helps families get off of welfare.  Local agencies work together to remove barriers and connect Michigan families with the kinds of jobs, education and training that lead to self-sufficiency.

The Kalamazoo Deacons Conference partners with JET as a site where participants may receive practical work experience.  Supervised by Deacons Conference staff, JET participants assist guests in our clothing and warehouse areas and at KDC events.
